Good for the environment
We utilize sustainable farming practices that give back to the environment, rather than degrading it.
We seek to find a natural balance between plants, animals, and soil, with each contributing to the health and wellbeing of the others.
How They Live We are currently raising Cornish Cross broilers which are raised outside on pasture. They enjoy fresh air, sunshine, clean water, and all the bugs and plant life they can eat. They are moved twice daily to ensure cleanliness and fresh forage. Not only are our chickens completely hormone, steroid and antibiotic free, but they also forage on pasture that is free of pesticides.
What They Eat In addition to their forage diet, the chickens are fed a ration of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) free grains, and other natural ingredients. Our chickens are never fed slaughter house animal bi-products or other "junk food". For the first two weeks of our chicks lives they are given an all natural probiotic/natural vitamin (similar to the live cultures found in yogurt and natural multi-vitamins) in their water which aids in digestion, strong immune systems and improved general health. A natural, healthy diet make our birds better tasting, more nutritious and cleaner than the store bought variety.

How They Come
Whole Chicken: When you arrive to pick up your order you will receive your chicken plucked, dressed, packaged, and labeled; similar to how a whole chicken would look when purchasing from a grocery store. They are sealed in a quality shrink bag that will protect your investment and ensure freshness if you choose to freeze them. Necks are removed but placed inside the chicken because they are great for making stock and adding flavor to the meat when cooked whole.
Chicken Livers: Livers are sold in bags of approximately 1 lb. (about 10 livers). They will be available on our scheduled pickup days when pre-ordered.
Chicken Feet: Chicken feet come scalded, peeled, and bagged (20 feet per bag). These have to be pre-ordered also.
